Vhong Navarro Biography
His solo movie, Gagamboy launched him as an actor in 2004 under Star Cinema which was its entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival. This was followed by Mr. Suave: Hoy! Hoy! Hoy! Where he took the lead role in the film. Because of his witty and funny acting, he was launched as a comedian and he tagged himself as the Jim Carrey of the Philippines. He sang the ABS CBN radio station’s official jingle. He also brought into the Philippines the dance craze Pamela which was a hit among the public and it was followed by his popular dance steps for Otso Otso and followed by Totoy Bibbo. His albums of these songs reached a double platinum record. His other album Don Romantiko however did not make such a hit as his previous albums.
Vhong made a number of music videos and single album and to name some are Mr. Papabol, Cha Cha Cha, Hari ng Dance Floor, Ayos Na Ang Buto-Buto, Chickboy, Huwag Kang Makulit, Pata-Pata-Pon, Supah Papalicious Man, Agent X44, Totoy Bibbo, Minahal Kita, and Maganang Umaga. He also has his own television appearances like Showtime, Toda Max, I Love Betty La Fea, Pilipinas, Game KNB?, ASAP, I am KC: Love to Dance, May Bukas Pa, George and Cecil, Wowowee, Love Spell: Pasko Na Santa Ko, MTB Ang Saya Saya, Gudtaym, Yes Yes Show, Wazzup Wazzup, Home Along Da Riles, Pwedeng-pwede, Super Laff-In, Bida si Mister, Bida si Misis and Pirated CD (Celebrity Disguise). Vhong also made numerous movies like the Shake Rattle and Roll XIV, Bulong, Ang buhay ni Ryu Gonzaga,Spirit Warriors: The Shortcut, Mr. Suave, Supapapalicious, May Pag-ibig Pa Kaya?, Got 2 Believe, Banyo Queen, Daddy O!
