Barbie Forteza Denies Knowing About Joshua Dionisio's Decision To Go Back To ABS-CBN

Barbie Forteza said she was equally surprised when she learned that loveteam partner Joshua Dionisio came back to his home network, ABS-CBN.

Dionisio recently appeared in the Kapamilya network's top-rating teleserye "Apoy Sa Dagat" with Diether Ocampo, Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban.

Forteza said she hasn't spoken to Dionisio in months. The last time they were together was during the Unisilver event in February with Julia Anne San Jose, Derrick Monasterio, Bea Binene and Enzo Pineda.

That time, although they were able to speak for a few minutes, Dionisio didn't mention any plans to do a teleserye with ABS-CBN.

Forteza said the actor decided to lay-low in showbiz because he wanted to finish his high school studies, something the rest of his batchmates in GMA completely understand. Dionisio said his high school classmates are all in college now, so he wants to follow suit.

Forteza clarified that she doesn't take it against Dionisio if he wants to go back to his studies or to ABS-CBN.

In 2002, Dionisio first appeared in numerous ABS-CBN teleseryes like "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay," "SCQ Reload," "Panday," "Maria Flordeluna," "Vietnam Rose," "Sa Piling Mo," "Super Inggo," "Margarita," "Nasaan Ka Maruja?," "Palos," "Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal" and "Agimat."

In 2009, he transferred to GMA-7. His first role there was as the young Dingdong Dantes in "Stairway To Heaven." That was also his first team up with Forteza, who took the role of the young Rhian Ramos.

They were then annointed as the "Tween King and Queen" of the Kapuso network after being given their own teleserye entitled "First Time." They were also together in "Dear Friend: Christmas List," "Pilyang Kerubin," "Reel Love Presents Tween Hearts," "Nita Negrita" and "Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin."

For movies, they were together in "Si Agimat at Enteng Kabisote," "Panday 2" and "Tween Academy: Class of 2012."

After Dionisio decided to focus on his studies first, Forteza was paired with Derrick Monasterio. They teamed up for "Luna Blanca," "Paroa: Ang Kuwento Ni Mariposa" and most recently in "Anna Karenina."

Reports said Dionisio was having attitude problems back then because he doesn't feel that he's being treated fairly by the Kapuso network. For him, Forteza gets better roles than him.

That's why, GMA-7 decided to pair FOrteza up with Monasterio.

Forteza doesn't want to comment about these allegations. She said Dionisio even texted her when she first started coming out in TV programs with Monasterio. However, the text messages soon stopped.

Forteza said it might be because the actor is busy with his studies.

“Kahit saan pa siya, nandito pa rin naman kaming mga kaibigan niya. Hindi naman mababago iyon porke’t nasa ibang TV station na siya."
