Julia Barretto Stars In "Maalaala Mo Kaya" Episode This June 15 (Saturday)

It is a dream come true for Julia Barretto to be able to do an episode for the longest-running drama anthology on television, "Maalaala Mo Kaya."

This Saturday (June 15), Barretto will finally make her debut on the said show. Although ABS-CBN has yet to divulge the details of the said episode, the Kapamilya young actress is definitely excited for the viewers to be able to see what she brought for the episode.

Barretto believes it is a huge responsibility for her to star in an MMK episode, and she hopes her training as an actress is enough to give justice to her role.

When the role was offered to her, Barretto didn't think twice about accepting it. She has always wanted to be part of MMK.

“I immediately said yes because I have always wanted to do episode for the show. But at the same time, I am really nervous because it is a huge responsibility and honor for me to be entrusted with an ‘MMK’ story."

But despite of her nervousness and anxiety about the episode, the young Barretto said she wants to prove to the public that there's more to her than meets the eye.

A member of the Barretto clan, the actress had her share of family scandals and intrigue especially between her mother Marjorie and aunts Claudine and Gretchen. She doesn't let these things dampen her spirits, however.

“I am very nervous because I might not meet the expectations of other people and I am afraid that I might disappoint them. Sometimes I try not to think about it because I just want to focus on how to improve my acting skills and show everybody that I can do this."

Aside from Barretto, the MMK episode will also feature the acting prowess of Ara Mina, James Blanco, Jacob Dionisio, Tommy Abuel, Manuel Chua, Kristoff Meneses, Marikit Morales and Yda Yaneza.

The episode will be directed by Dado Lumibao, written by Mark Angos and researched by Akeep Jordan Del Rosario.

"Maalaala Mo Kaya" will air after "Wansapanataym" this Saturday.
