Dingdong Dantes Feels Good About Peace Between Marian Rivera And KarylleDingdong Dantes is happy that there is not any bad blood between his former girlfriend Karylle and his current girlfriend Marian Rivera.
“That’s very good news, that’s very good news,” Dantes said in the sidelines of a promotion event for his first indie film “Dance of the Steel Bars”.
“Let’s always celebrate happiness, love and peace,” the actor added.
Marian Rivera recently made headlines for smiling at Karylle during a chance encounter with the actress and host during a celebration for German Moreno.
Rivera later explained that there is no reason for her to not smile at Karylle and it just so happened that the actress is currently involved with Karylle’s past love interest.
Karylle also spoke out about the encounter saying that it meant a great deal knowing that Rivera feels nothing bad toward her as evident in that little gesture of smiling.
Meanwhile, Dantes’ good vibes seems to also spill into other facets of his life at the moment. Dantes is undaunted by the fact that his new indie film Dance of the Steel Bars will open alongside expected blockbuster hit “Man of Steel” this Independence Day.
“Sobrang saya ko, alam mo, not for anything, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. ‘Superman’ magmula nang bata ako, ‘Dance of the Steel Bars’ magmula nung shinoot namin finally ipalalabas na,” he said.
“Alam mo walang issue sa ‘kin ‘yung mga ganyan basta panoorin mong pareho ‘yan. Kung pwede ngang sabay. Pero siyempre uunahin ko ‘yung akin,” he added.
Dance of the Steel Bars is about the famous dancing inmates of a jail in Cebu City, a group which gained worldwide celebrity after their videos on YouTube went viral.
“It’s about the story ng Cebu dancing inmates, ‘yung sumikat noon sa YouTube. Ikukuwento namin ‘yung istorya nila kung papano nabuo ‘yung pagsasayaw nila and of course a couple of stories din ng mga presong nasa loob,” Dantes said of his new movie which was rated A by the Cinema Evaluation Board.
Dantes shares that he has been inspired by the groups of inmates he worked with for the film.
“They also influenced me in one way or another. Kumbaga malaking inspirasyon din ang nakuha ko sa kanila kasi the fact na nakapagbuo sila ng ganong klaseng sayaw kahit sabihin natin sa likod ng mga rehas, it goes to show that they have a sense of discipline na kahit nandon sila eh talagang gusto nilang… ano eh piliin kung ano ‘yung tama. Parang in a way magandang rehabilitation for them,” Dantes said.
