Gary Valenciano Will Miss Son Gab Valenciano Who Will Soon Be Leaving For A Two-Year Music Course In The USGary Valenciao admitted to being sad for the impending departure of his son, Gab valenciano, for the United States.
Gab will be in the US for two years to take up a music engineering course at the Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
He is Mr. Pure Energy's second son with Angeli Pangilinan.
The older Valenciano was emotional after his performance at the product launch of BPeptide at the SMX Convention Center in MOA.
He said it will be the last time he is going to perform with his son, who is set to leave on March 25.
“Well, for a parent like me, siyempre, it’s sad. But this is for his future. Heto yung gusto niyang gawin that’s why we are allowing him," he told the audience.
He then dedicated all the songs he performed that night for Gab.
Valenciano said he is very proud of his son because he even dances better than him.
“Ang hirap yung you send your son away, pero kung para sa kanyang aspirations, then it’s fine with me."
“Alam niyo naman ang son ko, marami din siyang pinagdaanan but he has this big aspiration kaya sa amin ni Angeli parang it’s worth losing him for a while."
He related that on February 27, his other son, Paolo, finally got married. Valenciano said it makes him think that he is losing them one by one.
After singing "The Warrior Is A Child" and "I Will Be Here," Valenciano thanked the audience, most of which are doctors and working in the medical field.
He said if it wasn't for them, he would have long been gone.
Valenciano was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was still 14 years old.
Normally, a lifespan of a person with that disease is 30. Valenciano is now 48 years old.
“There were times na nag-collapse ako sa performances because of my diabetes but had it not been for all of you, I would have gone much sooner."
