Enchong Dee Refuses To Reveal Real Reason For His Breakup With Julia MontesEnchong Dee and ex-girlfriend Julia Montes agreed never to reveal the real reason why they broke up last year. Both artists are starring in ABS-CBN's new teleserye "Muling Buksan Ang Puso."
When Dee learned he will be starring with Montes, he asked the production if they can spend time together so they can bond as a loveteam. In their previous works, both starred as friends and not as lovers.
Later on, the actor learned Montes also asked for the same thing--to spend time with him.
During their bonding, they both talked about the past and decided not to reveal to the public why they broke up in October last year. Although the two never admitted being together, it's common knowledge they parted ways sometime late last year.
Dee felt happy that Montes also wanted to spend time with him because that's a good indication that they are both looking at the right direction for their teleserye. The actor was quick to point out, however, that they didn't just bond because they have a new show together.
He said "Muling Buksan Ang Puso" just paved the way for them to get to know each other beyond their failed relationship. It is easier for them to move on as friends, Dee said, because they didn't let other people interfere in their relationship.
The actor isn't closing his doors, however. For now, they are both focused on giving their all for their show. But in the future, Dee said anything can happen.
Dee starred in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak," which just ended about two weeks ago. He is still transitioning to taping for an entirely new plot and storyline, he said.
In "Muling Buksan Ang Puso," the actor will be starring also with Enrique Gil of "Princess And I."
Dee said both he and Montes and still adjusting with the new teleserye, and they are also undergoing some workshops.
In order for them to build their chemistry, Dee and Montes always engage in small conversations while on set. He said they need to bond as much as they can for the teleserye.
The actor also said he would much rather prefer to remember the good times they had rather than the bad memories. He then pointed to Montes, adding he doesn't know if the actress still holds on to the issues they had before.
According to Dee, his role in "Muling Buksan Ang Puso" is more mature than the other roles he portrayed before. It's his dream role, he said, so he immediately grabbed the chance to portray the role even though Montes will be his partner.
"Pero, napakaliit na bagay yun para haluan ko ng personal ito. Kasi, ang ganda... ang mga pinangarap kong ito, ang character."
For him to be able to portray the role well, Dee is ready to ask for help from her co-stars in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" such as award-winning actresses Janice de Belen and Cherry Pie Picache. He is collaborating with their director, Manuel Palo.
"Ayoko kasing i-limit ang sarili ko sa mga taong handang tumulong. Kasi, may mga pieces kang makukuha sa kanila na puwede mong magamit in the future, maybe not today."
Some said ABS-CBN favors Dee because the network has been giving him one project after another. Aside from "Muling Buksan Ang Puso," he is also included in the cast of "Four Sisters And A Wedding."
"Siguro, nakita lang nila na handa akong magtrabaho 24/7. Wala sa akin yun. Handa akong hindi makatulog, hindi ako nagrereklamo. Siguro yun ang mga bagay na nakita nila."
Dee said it's just a matter of time before other actors are given the chance to work as much as him. He himself has gone through a time when he had to ask the management if he has any pending projects.
