Kim Chiu Posts Goodbye Message For Her Mom On Her Instagram AccountKim Chiu flew back home from a commercial shoot in Thailand to attend the funeral of her mother, who passed away recently, at the Cebu Memorial Park.
She was recently criticized for flying to Thailand even though her estranged mother has just passed away. The actress never grew up with her mother because she was left with her grandparents. Her father, William, went to her defense and said Chiu was with her mother during her last days and that she convinced the management of the product she will be endorsing to let her come home for the funeral.
On her Instagram account, Chiu posted a message for her mother.
She said: "We may not have the chance to see each others faces, to talk about random things, to share my secrets to you, to have a mother/daughter bonding that I’ve been longing for so long but after everything that has happened."
She thanked God for being able to spend time with her mother before she left. And although Louella Yap Chiu didn't have the chance to recognize her daughter, the actress still said she knows her mother is proud of what she has accomplished.
"I just hold on to the thought that you are now in a better place where there is no more pain and suffering."
During the funeral, some 100 of Chiu's close friends and relatives were with the actress to support her in this time of need. Her father, William, as well as his siblings, were there as well.
Security during the funeral procession was tight because there was a lot of of Chiu's fans who wanted to see the actress.
The funeral followed traditional Chinese tradition as some of Louella's things were burned. Her photo was also carried by her eldest child.
