No Unrequited Love Angle In Maricel Soriano-gerald Anderson Tiff, Dina Bonnevie SaysDina Bonnevie denied the "unrequited affection" angle in the Maricel Soriano and Gerald Anderson confrontation on the set of ABS-CBN's Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.
The reported confrontation resulted to Soriano being booted from the show over a month ago.
A report by YES! magazine said Soriano invited Anderson several times to bond with her as preparation for their roles in the soap.
Soriano will supposedly play Anderson's mother.
Bonnevie took the Diamond Star's side and clarified that Soriano was inviting Anderson because she wanted to get to know the actor more since they are going to play a mother-son tandem.
“But Gerald yata was not available."
Anderson and Soriano spent four hours talking during a Christmas party for the group. Bonnevie said the time was enough for Anderson.
“Siguro, in Maricel’s mind, that was just that—it’s not enough. I mean, iba-iba naman sigurong style ng mga artista… ayokong makialam.”
Bonnevie said she had an inkling something will go wrong in the shooting because Soriano wasn't stable then.
It has been reported that the Diamond Star has been suffering from depression because of her mother's death more than a year ago.
Soriano was apparently crying and shaking during a promo shoot for the teleserye. She also told Bonnevie that she was "so sad."
“I guess, you know, the typical… I guess she was going through the state of depression, which we normally undergo at this age."
Bonnevie lamented the fact that Soriano is not part of the show anymore.
She said she was looking forward to working with the Diamond Star again.
When it comes to Anderson, Bonnevie said she has no qualms working with him. At first, the actor was hesitant to approach Bonnevie because she was Soriano's friend.
But then, Anderson told her that they share the same name. Bonnevie's real name is Geraldine.
“Tapos, very professional naman siya."
“When he wasn’t ready to do a take and he wanted to internalize, okay lang, we were all waiting. That’s fine."
They have yet to tap the show in full-swing though since a lot of them are still not yet available.
Bonnevie and Dawn Zulueta, who replaced Soriano, are both busy with their husbands' campaign.
Bonnevie is married to Ilocos Vice Governor DV Savellano, who is running for another term; Zulueta's husband, Anton Lagdameo, is running as representative of the second district of Davao del Sur.
Both actresses will be taping only twice a week--Monday and Wednesday--during the coming campaign season.
They will be helping their husbands' campaigns for the remainder of the week.
She shared how easy it is to work with Zulueta.
Zulueta is not insecure and usually takes care of her co-stars, Bonnevie said.
“At saka she’s on time. Very professional.”
