Dingdong Dantes Agrees To Make Third Movie With Star CinemaDingdong Dantes will star alongside Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo in the third movie he will be making with Star Cinema, the movie production arm of ABS-CBN.
He first starred with Kris Aquino in "Segunda Mano" (2011) and with Angelica Panganiban and Angel Locsin" in "One More Try" (2012). Both were entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival. Dantes won best actor plums for both films.
Dantes felt fortunate for being given the chance to work with Star Cinema and to be part of its 20th anniversary offerings. Although he was never part of ABS-CBN, he felt like celebrating the last two years with them too.
In this year's movie with Alonzo, the Kapuso actor said he is excited to work with the actress who he has met in several showbiz gatherings and even a magazine shoot. They haven't had the chance to work on a project though.
Alonzo, for her part, is also quite welcoming of Dantes. It is an honor for her, she said, to work with Dantes, who have already received back-to-back best actor awards from the MMFF.
It is not everyday that people get to see Kapuso and Kapamilya artists in one movie, so Alonzo said she feels happy to be part of this special offering.
The actress was also part of another 20th anniversary offering, "Four Sisters and a Wedding," which did well in the box office. "Tuhog" by Enchong Dee and Eugene Domingo was also another special film made by Star Cinema for its anniversary.
Alonzo said she doesn't want to full pressured regarding this new movie with Dantes. She wants to enjoy working with the actor, and doing a movie with him for the first time.
"Tapos na ako doon sa nakaka-pressure na movies, di ba? Nando'n na 'ko sa, 'I want each moment to count,' and to make memories with them, with this group."
Dantes said they will play the roles of two best friends in the movie. He added they will surely enjoy making the film, and the viewers will also enjoy seeing them together.
"I love doing movies, gustung-gusto ko yung mga taong katrabaho ko, and everytime I'm on the set, and every time na gumagawa ako, I always treasure them. I always treat everyone just like family."
The production of the yet-to-be-titled movie will soon announce its director.
