Julia Clarete Thinks It Is Healthy To Have 3 Competing Noontime ShowsJulia Clarete, one of the regular hosts on Eat Bulaga, said that it is healthy to have three competing noontime shows. Although Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime show in the history of Philippine television, has dominated the airwaves for more than 30 years, Clarete thinks it is still healthy for the show to have competitors.
She said that because there is a lot of competition in the industry, the producers and the hosts of the show are always on their toes to think of something different that they can offer to the audience. She also told PEP.PH that the viewers always have an option as to what noontime show they would like to watch.
Clarete also said that they—Showtime and Eat Bulaga hosts—remain good friends with each other. She said that when she sees some of the hosts from the other shows in restaurants, she makes it a point to greet them.
However, Clarete still takes pride in being part of Eat Bulaga. Lately, she won as the Outstanding Female Host in a Musical or Variety Program during the 2013 Golden Screen TV Awards for her work in Eat Bulaga.
She said that when it comes to Eat Bulaga, the hosts and the producers are always trying to offer something new. Clarete said that it is important that they can offer another way to entertain the viewers.
She also said that she is very proud to be part of Eat Bulaga, especially since the show already has an international franchise in Indonesia. Karat said that the show had already become a public-service show.
Clarete said that she is very fortunate and blessed to be part of Eat Bulaga.
