Pauleen Luna Explains Reasons For Deactivating Social Networking AccountsPauleen Luna recently deactivated all her social networking accounts, particularly Twitter and Instagram, because she is admittedly being affected by bashers and detractors.
Ever since she entered into a relationship with Bossing Vic Sotto, who is 35 years her senior, Luna has received a lot of criticisms from netizens. She said people are intervening in her relationship and telling her what's wrong and right.
Admittely, the "Eat Bulaga" host is being affected by these criticisms to the point that they sometimes ruin her day. This is why Luna decided to just deactivate her accounts, so that people don't have the forum anymore to throw attacks at her.
She first tried to join showbiz in 1995 when she participated in "Eat Bulaga's" Little Miss Philippines. Little did she know that although she lost in the contest, she will meet for the very first time her future boyfriend. Sotto was the one who asked Luna her "Q&A" question.
After losing in that contest, she joined another beauty contest in ABS-CBN. There, she was pitted against Sarah Geronimo, who eventually won the show. Luna laughingly recalled that once in their lives, she and Geronimo were equals in terms of their careers.
Luna said she is very thankful to "Eat Bulaga" for giving her career a boost. She has been with the show for eight years, and it has been a family to her. The first time she transferred to GMA-7, she was immediately given the chance to co-host the longest-running noontime show in the country.
She was happy that her co-hosts have always made her feel welcome, and that they have been accommodating to her.
Asked why she always seems to fall for older men, Luna explained even her friends are older than her. It seems she is really more attracted to people who are her senior, she said.
Luna also clarified rumors that Sotto was the one who funded her family's new house. She said it was her mother who worked hard for that house, and she just chipped in a little. Her mother has a buy-and-sell business.
