Sarah Lahbati Reportedly Gives Birth To A Baby Boy In April

A source has confirmed that Sarah Lahbati gave birth to her and boyfriend Richard Gutierrez's first baby boy during the last week of April in Switzerland. That was before the former GMA-7 actress came back to the Philippines to face the case filed against her by GMA-7 President Annette Gozon-Abrogar.

Gutierrez and Lahbati earlier denied that the actress was pregnant when she left for Switzerland in early January amid the scandal that ensued between her and the GMA management. Gutierrez's mother, Annabelle Rama, and sister, Ruffa, also refused to answer the said rumors.

Back then, the actress said she just wants to continue her studies. Lahbati had a falling out with GMA-7 and its talent management arm, ICONS, after they allegedly broke off some of the conditions of her contract. Gozon-Abrogar eventually filed a libel case against the actress.

The source said Lahbati gave birth to a baby boy, which the couple named Zion. An MMS of the child was sent to the Gutierrez family in April amid Rama's congressional campaign in Cebu City. She eventually lost.

Lahbati returned to the Philippines in July to face the cases filed against her. When asked about the rumors that she gave birth already, she answered in a different tone. She said she couldn't understand why people seem to be asking questions that are not pertinent to the case. The actress maintained she will only answer questions about the case she filed against Gozon-Abrogar.

Reports also said Lahbati came back to the country with the child. Her connecting flight was from Cebu City to Manila. She reportedly left the child with her family in Cebu.

Attempts to reach the Gutierrez family proved futile since they are now in the United States for a vacation.
