Jodi Sta. Maria And Pampi Lacson Remain Civil To Each OtherJodi Sta. Maria said she and ex-husband Pampi Lacson have remained civil to each other despite the fact that they have already separated. They talk when they have to discuss things for their son, Thirdy.
Although she hasn't seen Lacson in a long time, Sta. Maria said it wasn't because they were trying to stay away from each other. It was just coincidence, the actress stressed.
Thirdy is currently attending school, the actress added, so she and Lacson would always discuss their son's studies. Thirdy, Sta. Maria said, is used to the setup between his parents. At first, it was hard for him to understand why they aren't together anymore but eventually, he got used to it.
When the right time comes, Sta. Maria said she will explain to Thirdy what happened between her and Lacson. For now, she just makes sure they won't lack time and attention for their son.
Once Thirdy starts questioning their setup, then Sta. Maria will take that as a cue that her son is ready to hear what happened. But aside from his father, there is also a new guy in Thirdy's life--his mother's boyfriend, Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla.
Thirdy calls Revilla "tito" while the vice governor's son, Gab, calls Sta. Maria "tita." The two get along well together, the actress said. They often attend events and other gatherings with their children. In fact, when the interview transpired, Thirdy is said to have been waiting for the actress, so they can watch the Gilas Pilipinas game. And yes, Revilla was there too.
Thirdy and Gab get along well since they both collect Animal Kaiser and they also attend the same school. Asked if Thirdy wants to enter showbiz, Sta. Maria admitted her son is a "performer." However, showbiz is not in the priorities for her son. She said Thirdy has to finish his studies first before entering the industry.
Since Thirdy has already appeared in commercials, Sta. Maria said they keep his earnings for his future. "For all we know, mas mayaman pa yung anak ko kaysa sa akin."
She was then asked about her opinion on pre-nuptial agreement since that was the issue discussed on her top-rating show, "Be Careful With My Heart."
"Wala namang problema. Ako, single mom ako. I have to protect din kasi yung best interest ng anak ko, yun lang."
Asked about the series and the movie she and loveteam partner Richard Yap have to do for the Metro Manila Film Festival, Sta. Maria said they would have to do the two projects at the same time.
She was also asked if "Be Careful With My Heart" was one of the reasons why she doesn't want to pose wearing a bathing suit. She is the current endorser of Cosmo Body.
The actress admitted she has never been comfortable with showing her skin, and she just lost the weight she was supposed to for herself and not to pose wearing skimpy outfits. She was even surprised that she has to wear a one-piece bathing suit for her Cosmo Body pictorial. Only half of her body was shown, however, since the other half was covered by a blazer.
Sta. Maria said Revilla and her son, Thirdy, have no qualms about seeing her pictorial. Her son even praised her for being "sexy." Still, she would rather maintain her "conservative" image and just accept the roles and the magazine covers she can comfortably do.
"Actually, oo, pinaghirapan natin, pero hindi naman para i-flaunt, di ba? But ang importante sa lahat, eto ang kumportable ako, pero wala talaga akong balak na i-share sa ibang tao.”
But if it is for "personal consumption," the actress might think about doing a sexy pictorial.
