Neri Naig Says She's Getting BetterTwo weeks after the controversial sex video of her and boyfriend Chito Miranda went viral on the Internet, Star Circle Quest alumna Neri Naig said she's not yet okay, but "I am getting there."
The actress admitted she locked herself in her room for two weeks after finding out that their video was published on the Internet. She didn't want to see her friends and her family because she was embarrassed by what happened.
However, she recently started reading the messages from her family, friends and acquaintances and was overwhelmed by their show of support. Naig said she immediately sent a message to her family following the airing of the video. Afterwards, she locked herself in her room and didn't want to hear from anyone or see anyone.
Miranda then convinced her to watch the videos of Boy Abunda, "StarTalk," TV5 and several other showbiz talk shows which showed how "normal" they were as a couple, and how much they love each other. She said it warmed her heart that so many people sent messages to her even though they didn't know her personally.
She also expressed appreciation to the "Showbiz Inside Report" and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for acting on their case. Naig also thanked the reporters for respecting their decision not to make a big deal out of the case they filed before the NBI.
Two weeks ago, a copy of the couple's sex video went viral on the Internet. They have been together since December 2011. Their video led some to believe that similar footages of Miranda's ex-girlfriends Kaye Abad and Angel Locsin were also in existence. Both denied the allegations, and said they still respect Miranda despite of what happened.
Miranda went to his girlfriend's defense and said Naig was a warm-hearted person who spends her time helping an aeta village. He dared those who were responsible for the airing of the video to simply attack him and not Naig.
