Angel Locsin And Jericho Rosales Appeal For Help For Habagat VictimsABS-CBN artists Angel Locsin and Jericho Rosales personally joined the rescue efforts for the victims of Habagat. Last year, the two artists were also active in calling for help for the victims of Habagat.
Other celebrities like KC Concepcion, Anne Curtis and Luis Manzano also expressed their concern over photo-sharing site Instagram. They called on the public to help those in need.
Locsin, a Red Cross volunteer, helped disseminate information about the organization's efforts to help Habagat victims. She said on her Twitter account that people who don't need help must not use the hashtags "rescueph," reliefph" and "floodph" because these are being monitored by Red Cross. They base their actions on these hashtags.
"Kung hindi kailangang gamitan ng hashtag ang tweets nyo, paki iwasan pong lagyan para mas mabilis makita yung mga nangangailangan talaga."
Locsin also posted an Instagram photo of her boot-clad feet. She captioned the photo "bota," which led her followers to believe that she's on her way to help the victims of the flood. Her followers tweeted that Locsin is not just a pretty face and wished that all actors are just like her.
Rosales also joined the volunteers in Marikina. He posted a video on Instagram of the Tumana Bridge in Marikina. It can be remembered that he and his brother also helped the victims last year and during Typhoon Ondoy.
Kuya Kim Atienza traveled to different cities--Vito Cruz, Nakpil, Taft Avenue and Quirino Avenue--in Metro Manila to let motorists know which roads are still passable. He posted these on his social networking accounts.
