Kylie Padilla Wants Another Teleserye Before The Year EndsIf it is up to Kylie Padilla, the daughter of action star Robin Padilla, she wants to star in another teleserye before the year ends. She said that it has been four months since "Unforgettable," her last project with GMA-7, ended.
But the newbie actress clarified she has nothing against the Kapuso network since it's quite normal for artists to wait for a long time before they are given another project. Of course, Padilla wants to act sooner rather than later.
She starred with Mark Herras in "Unforgettable." For now, Padilla is busy being part of "Sunday All Stars," GMA-7's Sunday noontime show.
Asked if she has any idea about the network's plans for her, Padilla said she doesn't want to assume that there's another project in the works for her. In truth, she added that hoping for something and then failing to get it is more painful than not expecting it in the first place.
In the meantime, she's just praying that the network will offer something to her soon. She said she's willing to do even just supporting roles for now. That could be better for her instead of waiting for "starring" roles.
Padilla noted that being a contrabida in a teleserye or any other role than her usual "nice girl" character would be a welcome change for her. In fact, she's quite confident she will enjoy any challenging roles given to her.
The actress emphasized how difficult it is to stay in the industry, so she doesn't want to be choosy with the projects offered to her. As long as the character and the story is interesting, that is okay enough for her.
She was asked if she would like to try her hands on action again (just like her character in "Joaquin Bordado" in 2008), and the actress mentioned she actually missed doing those kinds of projects.
And since she's not busy with any project right now, Padilla plans to visit her mom and siblings in Australia. She is also busy going to fitness gyms and doing other physical activities.
When it comes to her boyfriend Aljur Abrenica, Padilla just smiled and said their relationship is doing well. There is not so much pressure now unlike before when they were just starting.
Abrenica, she noted, has always been nice and kind to her. In fact, she was the one who was confused when they started going out because she was still adjusting to the life in showbiz.
Asked about the teleserye that will star Abrenica and his former loveteam and rumored girlfriend Kris Bernal, Padilla just shrugged off rumors that she's jealous. She said they were already a loveteam even before she entered Abrenica's life, so she cannot do anything about it.
