Judy Ann Santos Signs Contract With ABS-CBNPrimetime queen Judy Ann Santos signed another two-year contract with ABS-CBN, finally putting to rest rumors that she will be transferring to another TV network.
"At the end of the day, doon ka babagsak kung saan ka kumportable at saan ka papakinggan," Santos said.
The primetime actress, who starred in many phenomenal soap operas in the last decade, raised tensions in the network when she requested for an early ending of her comeback teleserye "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" shortly after the management decided to push it a timeslot later for Daniel Padilla's "Got To Believe."
The premature ending of the teleserye caused the delay in the airing of Padilla's teleserye since Santos’ teleserye has to have that timeslot for at least three weeks. She apologized to KathNiel fans, and told them they will be able to watch "Got To Believe" as soon as her teleserye ends.
She wanted "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" to end on a high note. Being pushed to a later timeslot would put to risk their ratings.
It raised speculations that Santos is now considering offers from other networks. She has been with ABS-CBN all through her career. And yet, two weeks after her controversial interview (where she became emotional), Santos came back and signed the two-year contract with the Kapamilya network.
This signing might also affect the decision of her husband, Ryan Agoncillo, regarding his choice of network. There are reportedly three offers on the table for Agoncillo, and he was merely waiting for Santos' decision before he makes his own.
The primetime actress will be hosting a show entitled "Bet On Your Baby." She will also make another teleserye, as well as host another reality show.
Present during the contract signing was her manager, Alfie Lorenzo, and ABS-CBN executives Charo Santos-Concio, Cory Vidanes and Laurenti Dyogi.
Meanwhile, Santos acknowledged it is inevitable for her children--Yohan and Lucho--to join the showbiz industry in the future. She and Agoncillo have already talked about it and even considered letting them do small roles.
However, Agoncillo earlier said he would much rather prefer if they can finish their studies first. Agoncillo himself first finished his course at the De La Salle University in Manila before finally entering showbiz.
As for having another baby (Yohan is adopted), Santos said she will welcome another pregnancy but they are not planning anything just yet.
