"Be Careful With My Heart" Pulls Out From MMFF 2013ABS-CBN's hit television series "Be Careful With My Heart" will no longer be a part of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival, the network announced.
In a letter to Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino, Star Cinema, the movie production arm of ABS-CBN, said they are pulling out the supposed movie because of the tight schedules of their artists.
Apparently, it was very difficult to shoot the movie while they are still taping for the television series.
Tolentino confirmed they already received the letter, notifying the festival of Star Cinema's intention to withdraw the movie from the race. Star Cinema didn't say, however, if they will still push through with making the movie even if not for the film fest this year.
Now that "Be Careful With My Heart" is pulling out from the MMFF 2013, that is one less competition for the movies that will be joining this year's fest, analysts said. Many believed the Richard Yap-Jodi Sta. Maria starrer would be the film to beat during the fest. Now, another slot is open that can be filled by one film from the 15 earlier shortlisted.
Aside from "Be Careful With My Heart," Senator Bong Revilla's "My Super Kap" also pulled out from the film fest because of the conflicting schedules of Ai-Ai Delas Alas and Toni Gonzaga, who were supposed to be the senator's leading ladies.
