Geoff Eigenmann Sees No Need To Compete With Dingdong Dantes For Leading Man RoleGeoff Eigenmann said there is no rivalry between him and fellow PPL talent Dingdong Dantes, who is also one of GMA's leading men.
Eigenmann said he was actually thankful to Dantes because he welcomed him when he transferred from ABS-CBN.
“So very thankful ako doon. So, never naging ano talaga."
“And in all honesty, gusto ko nga magkatrabaho si Dingdong."
He even wants to have a project with Dantes, Eigenmann said.
“Iyon. As much as possible, I’d love to work with him kahit support ako sa kanya, I won’t mind.”
Eigenmann admitted that a lot of people have approached him regarding politics.
They said he would be perfect to run for a public office because he is very approachable.
But Eigenmann said he is not open to the idea just yet.
“Ayoko as much as possible, e. It may be very close, yung show business and politics, pero ayoko talaga, e."
“As of now talaga, hindi, there’s no ano for me... no reason for me to join or to delve into politics.”
He revealed that his mother, Gina Alajar, has also been approached to run for vice mayor.
“Merong malilinis na politicians, but majority of it is really dirty and it’s more cutthroat than show business."
Eigenmann said he is more open to being part of a film's production like Alajar and his father, Michael de Mesa.
“It’s really different when you’re taking care of the whole production of the story... kung paano tatakbo."
If there's one person he would like to direct or write a script for, it would be his girlfriend, Carla Abellana.
He also said he wants to work with any of the Eigenmann-Gil-De Mesa clan.
“But honestly, kung sino ang number one sa family ko, I’d say my grandmother," he said, referring to Rosemarie Gil.
He and Gabby Eigenmann, his cousin, have already been talking about the perfect story for their grandmother.
