Amy Perez Leaves TV5Amy Perez has parted ways with TV5.
The announcement was made by the Kapatid Network saying, “TV5 Management and Ms Amy Perez have mutually agreed to part ways. TV5 respects the decision of Ms. Perez to leave the Network due to personal reasons. She had been a valuable talent of TV5 and we wish her well and the best of luck in her future endeavors.”
This means Perez will not be hosting “Face the People”, the reformatted sequel to “Face to Face”, the hit TV5 show which was one of the show that put the network in the limelight.
According to TV5, the show will instead be hosted by Gelli de Belen and Tintin Bersola-Babao.
This is contrary to earlier announcements from the network earlier this year that Perez and de Belen will be hosting “Face the People”.
Perez has admitted after she resigned from “Face to Face” that she had disagreements with the show’s production staff. She resigned from “Face to Face” in July.
Amy, for her part, seems intent not to burn bridges as she said through her Twitter account, “I will forever be grateful. Thank you for the memories.”
