Winwyn Marquez Chooses Bb. Pilipinas Over LovelifeWinwyn Marquez, the daughter of former showbiz couple Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez, will choose joining the Bb. Pilipinas over her lovelife anytime. She said that if the guy is really worth it, he would wait for her too reach her dreams first.
For now, she and her ex-boyfriend of two years (a Philippine Airlines flight attendant) are dating again. However, Winwyn said they want to take things slow because there are so many things they have to talk about and settle.
Although it is hard for them to fix things because of their work schedules, they still often see each other especially when the guy visits her at home. They see each other twice to thrice a week.
The actress-model said she is so far happy with the progress in their relationship.
However, if she will have to choose between her lovelife and joining the prestigious beauty contest, she will definitely choose the latter. Winwyn said she has always wanted to be a beauty queen, even if she will just reach the semi-finals.
She just joined Jonas Gaffud's Mercator Artist & Model, which is responsible for training beauty queens Shamcey Supsup, Venus Raj, Megan Young and Mutya Datul. With her are other models and actors such as JC Tiuseco, Daniel Matsunaga, Ervic Vijandre, Hideo Muraoka and Fabio Ide.
Although she has been working closely with such handsome men, Winwyn said they are all just friends to her and they even treat her as their little sister since she's the youngest in the group. She is closest to Ken, Fabio and Hideo because she has worked with them before.
As for the women models of Mercator, she hasn't had the chance to work with them yet. Winwyn admitted to being starstrucked when she saw Venus, who was very supportive of her aim.
She has at least two years to train for the beauty contest.
Meanwhile, Winwyn shared that she rarely sees her mother Alma because the latter is very busy preparing for her candidacy as president of the Councilors League of the Philippines. The last time she saw her was when they taped for Jennylyn Mercado's "Anak Ko Yan."
Winwyn is used to not seeing her parents since they separated when she was just 12 years old. She just talks to her mother over the phone, she added.
She is currently starring in "Dormitoryo," which will start airing this Sunday (September 22). She will play the role of Maika Benitez.
This is the first time Winwyn will be working with Lauren Young, who she described as a great actress. She will also star with Enzo Pineda, Mayton Eugenio and Joyce Ching.
