Robin Padilla Does Not Have An Issue With Vhong Navarro
If the show will still be running next year, then Robin will be back to reclaim his character there. He told this to Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN president. Robin is currently doing three films, so it's hard for him to do a television show as well.
Aside from "10,000 Hours," another one of Robin's movies is "Kuratong Baleleng," which will star some of his relatives. That will be released next year.
He cannot believe that some people are saying he has a problem with Vhong having more scenes than him. He finds it "baduy" to be a reason for their alleged rift.
At his age and the time he has been in showbiz, Robin has no problems with these things anymore. He and Vhong share the same dressing room, so he is sure there are no problems between them.
"Ano lang po talaga, hindi ko kayang maging comedian sa ngayon dahil po sa mga role na ginagawa ko. Ang hirap bumaklas."
Since he is doing serious roles for "10,000 Hours" and "Kuratong Baleleng," Robin finds it hard to do a sitcom even as ABS-CBN's channel head Cory Vidanes already asked him to.
"Next year, gusto ko uling magpatawa. Pero ngayon, ayoko muna. Ang gaganda kasi ng projects, e."
When he's doing a serious role, he finds it hard to disintegrate himself from that particular character. Even his wife, Mariel Rodriguez, has gotten used to his behavior whenever he's preparing for a role.
Mariel doesn't talk to him when she knows he's in character. "Aantayin muna niya akong lumapit sa kanya. Kasi puma-flashback pa lahat. Ganun ako, e. Iniisip ko pa 'yon. Di ka pa kasi puwedeng kumawala."
Speaking of Mariel, Robin did not comment on rumors that the TV host will be going back to her home network, ABS-CBN, now that "Will Time Bigtime" is drawing to a close.
He said Mariel wants to study something that deals with her making organic drinks and foods. Robin added his wife can do anything as long as she doesn't do any kissing scenes if ever she will be starring in a TV show or a movie.
