Amy Perez Reveals Reason For Leaving "Face To Face"Amy Perez was supposed to be part of the new TV5 talk show "Face The People," but she decided to leave the show after a bad incident with the production staff of her defunct show "Face To Face."
Amy said it saddens her that TV5 made her look at fault as to why she isn't going to be part of the new show. She was supposed to host it alongside her good friend Gelli de Belen, who temporarily replaced her when she took a leave of absence so she can give birth to her second child.
When she came back, the management wanted her to tape four episodes a day. However, it was her first time to undergo caesarean operation, so she could not exactly tape at that speed. She thought the production would understand her reason, but they ended up airing their grievances on Facebook.
Amy refused to name who this person is.
She decided to resign, so she can a have a peace of mind instead of financial gain. It is better that she will be the one to let go of the opportunity rather than force some people in the production to resign.
Amy denied forcing TV5 to fire other people because of her. In truth, the whole production of "Face To Face" is still intact. She was the only one who's not going to be part of the new show.
The TV host is not happy anymore with how she was treated after her leave. She clarified though that she has nothing against Gelli and her new co-host Tintin Bersola-Babao. The two are her co-artists at Backroom.
"Pero siguro, talagang hanggang doon na lang ako. Sad at masakit, kasi puwedeng naging maganda ang ending, alam mo yun?"
"Face To Face" run for four years.
Meanwhile, there are reports which said Amy will soon be part of ABS-CBN's "Umagang Kay Ganda." Amy denied this, and said she will instead host "The Singing Bee," the singing game show hosted by Cesar Montano before.
In "The Singing Bee," she will be Roderick Paulate.
