Ella Cruz Enjoys Tweetums Roles For NowElla Cruz (17) is not in a hurry to have mature roles like her contemporaries Julia Montes (18) and Kathryn Bernardo (17). She said being in a mature love story may not fit her looks and personality for now, so she is quite contented to be in sweeter and "tweetums" roles.
It has been nine months since Ella has last been seen on television through her teleserye "Aryana." But even though she took quite a rest, the young actress still believed ABS-CBN has something in store for her.
She is right. She will now be a part of "You're My Home" along with her "Aryana" co-star Francis Magundayao. While she was waiting, Ella said she never got impatient because she knows the Kapamilya network was just preparing the right role for her.
Ella added she is not insecure that Julia Barretto made her comeback to television, and was immediately offered a titular role in a fantaserye. Although she knows competitions in the industry cannot be helped, Ella said she chooses not to see these as mere competitions.
Julia, 16, will star in the upcoming fantaserye titled "Mira Bella." It will be her launching series as was "Aryana" with Ella.
The young actress said she is enjoying the slow progress of her showbiz career wherein she has yet to enter the teenager roles of having boyfriends and such. The young actress maintained though that in "You're My Home," she will still have a loveteam partner (Francis' role).
Even though "Aryana" ended, she still regularly talks with her co-stars Francis and Paul Salas. She usually sees Francis in "ASAP" while she goes to mall shows with Paul. Also, once in a while, they go out as a group.
But if ever she will be given the chance to choose who her leading man would be, she will pick Enrique Gil, ABS-CBN's "next ultimate leading man." The young actress admitted having a crush on the "She's The One" actor.
Aside from Francis, Ella will also work with Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, Iza Calzado, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee and Cherry Pie Picache in "You're My Home."
