Ser Chief And Maya Finally Set A November 15 Wedding DateIf you are one of the ardent followers of the hit daytime TV series ‘Be Careful With My Heart,’ you have surely been waiting for its main characters to tie the knot. ABS-CBN has just announced the much awaited and anticipated wedding date for lovers ‘Ser Chief’ and ‘Maya,’ played by Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria, respectively.
For quite some time, the wedding of the lovers have been arranged but no definite schedule is set yet. But earlier this week, the date has been revealed through a teaser, which first appeared online last Monday (October 21). In that teaser, ‘Richard’ (or Ser Chief) and ‘Maya’ were wearing a formal attire. The teaser invites TV viewers to take part in what it described as ‘wedding of the year.’ That would surely air in November 15.
The wedding would be another important milestone in the long run of the TV series. It has been more than a year when ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ started changing the noontime habit of local TV viewers. The TV ratings have indicated that it really shook up the usually traditional daytime programming.
It even prompted ‘Eat Bulaga,’ which occupied the same timeslot in GMA-7, to adjust its schedule. Its producers even created a novelty talk show featuring its currently popular child star Ryzza Mae Dizon. Today, the ratings game is still stiff as the programs battle it out on a daily basis to take the TV daytime supremacy.
Just a couple of months ago, the TV series drew attention when the character of Divina Valencia, Maya’s lola, died in her sleep. It turned out, ABS-CBN had other plans for her. She is now part of the cast of the network’s afternoon series ‘Galema: Anak ni Zuma’ as a villain.
Earlier this year, ABS-CBN had already announced that it would extend the run of the show until December this year. But obviously, the series would again be extended indefinitely. ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ was also set to create a movie version, which was supposed to be released in time for the Metro Manila Film Festival this December. But that plan had to be curtailed because Star Cinema finds it hard to arrange the busy schedules of the cast.
The show is directed by multi-awarded movie director Jeffrey Jeturian. It is being touted as a ‘kilig-serye.’ In the show, Maya is a barrio lass with high dreams of becoming a successful flight attendant. After being victimized by an illegal recruiter, she was forced to take the job as a nanny to Ser Chief’s youngest daughter, Abby (played by child star Mutya Orquia).
This week and in the coming weeks, televiewers could expect to see the couple and their family take part in all the hustles and bustles of wedding preparations. The cast also includes Aiza Seguerra, Sylvia Sanchez, Vandolph, and Janella Salvador. It airs Mondays to Fridays at noontime. On Saturday mornings, its replays are aired on the network.
