Nikki Gil Now ‘Going Out, Mingling’Recent heartbreak is not stopping Nikki Gil from moving on with her life. The actress has admitted that she is now “going out and mingling”, ABS-CBN News reports.
The revelation was made by Gil when the Kapamilya network reporter Mario Dumaual asked her about a certain guy that she is dating.
It appears from the report by the news organization that Gil was shocked by this question as she reportedly said, “How did that get to you? Nakakaloka! Oh my god!”
Nonetheless, she clarified that things between them and this “guy she is dating” is not yet that serious. According to the 26-year-old actress, they are just “friends”.
She added that she does “go out” and pointed out that there is nothing wrong with that.
“I'm single, I go out and date and mingle with whoever I want,” she said.
She did stress, however, that it’s “nothing serious” since she also doesn’t “want to jump from one relationship to another, kasi syempre may masasaktan in the process, and ayoko namang makasakit.”
Gil was for five years the girlfriend of Billy Crawford until this July when Crawford apparently broke up with her. The actor, host and singer of international fame said then that nothing was wrong with Gil and that all the blame should be put on him. “It all boils down to me,” Crawford said in an interview with Boy Abunda.
Needless to say, Crawford has been recently rumored to already be dating other people. The names of Coleen Garcia and Andi Eigenmann have been mentioned in various recent reports linked to Crawford.
For her part, Gil has already come out in the past to say that she regards her past relationship with Crawford as just that, the past. She has also said that she has learned from the relationship and is moving on with her life.
Meanwhile, Gil said that she is “open to friendships”. She says she goes out but are just friends with the people she is dating.
She appears to like doing this to “get to know a lot of people”. For her, this is all part of learning.
“Marami ka ring matutunan tungkol sa sarili mo, kung ano ang gusto mo,” she said.
What is clear, however, is that Gil wants people to know that she is moving on. Asked for a song that describes surviving her breakup with Crawford, she said it would be David Guetta’s “Titanium” with the lyrics “I am titanium. You shoot me down, but I won’t fall.”
Dumaual also asked Gil about her recent ad campaign for Maldita where she presented a daring image. For the campaign, she wore revealing clothes and even stripped at one point for a video.
Gil said that the courage to do this project came from her most recent experience with. She also said that this project was a way for her to explore.
“I would say that dahil may pinagdaanan ka, it does something to you, it gives you a bit more courage and bit more freedom to do things, different things,” Gil said.
Nonetheless, she wants to clarify that this is not because she is rebelling. She said she is “just accepting the good karma coming my way.”
