KC Concepcion Donates P5 Million For Yolanda VictimsKris Aquino announced on her "Kris TV" episode that KC Concepcion just donated her personal money worth P5 million to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Kris said KC didn't want anyone to know about it, but she was proud of the actress-endorser and that's why she revealed it already.
She did this because Tina Monzon-Palma, who is organizing the Sagip Kapamilya relief operations, was there with her and would need to know from where the generous P5 million came from.
According to Kris, the P3 million KC donated was for the immediate alleviation of the plight of those suffering in the aftermath of the storm while the P2 million is for rebuilding efforts.
KC's mother, Sharon Cuneta, also earlier announced a donation of P10 million--P5 million will be coursed through the Aboitiz Foundation while the other P5 million will be sent through TV5's Alagang Kapatid Foundation.
Kris saluted KC for "the act of generosity."
"Nakakabilib talaga. Hindi ikaw ang nagyabang nito, ako ang nagpaabot, and I asked your permission."
Aside from financial help, KC has been calling on her Twitter followers to donate to the relief operations of the World Food Programme, to which she is a local ambassador.
Although the actress-endorser is busy taping for "Boy Golden," her 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, KC still continues to call for help for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda.
According to her tweet: "Every effort counts. But truthfully, in donating ur own Relief Goods, to RLY make a difference, u need to doante in the thousands, not less."
