Atty. Ferdie Topacio Confirms Providing Legal Assistance To Nora AunorLast week, speculations have surfaced that Nora Aunor was being evicted by her landlady from the house she is currently renting. According to reports, the Superstar of Philippine showbiz immediately sought legal assistance from a popular lawyer—Atty. Ferdie Topacio.
The lawyer reportedly did everything to help Nora. He was able to pacify the angry landlady so that an agreement would be reached between her and Nora. Sources claimed that Nora was also insisting that she should not pay the rent in full because she seldom goes home to that house.
According to reports, Nora is now trying to make ends meet because she allegedly misspent the talent fee she should be collecting from TV5. Sources even claimed that the network has already paid her up to P400 million, which mysteriously disappeared in just 10 months.
Atty. Topacio confirms
Of course, showbiz reporters would not expect to get a confirmation from Nora, who has always been elusive especially when such rumors start to spread. TV5 also remains mum about the issue. Thus, they have been looking for Atty. Ferdie Topacio, who is known for being vocal and honest.
Surprisingly, Atty. Topacio confirmed that he is now providing legal assistance to Nora. But he simply assured the reporters that he is helping her client in all the way he could. He reminded the press that he is observing the confidentiality clause between him and his clients.
Thus, showbiz reporters could not obtain any specific information about the issue. Atty. Topacio also hinted that he is representing Nora in all the legal problems that she is now facing. Atty. Topacio refused to give more details about the nature and extent of their professional relationship.
Not in good terms with TV5
But it could be recalled that a few months ago, there were reports that Nora is now at odds with TV5. Sources claimed that Nora has been trying to collect more money as her talent fee from the network. But TV5 has been declining to provide her any amount. That is because the company allegedly already paid her contract in full just a few months after she returned to the country from the US.
It is also assumed that Atty. Topacio is also advising Nora regarding the case she is planning to file against the Japanese beauty clinic that did a surgical operation on her. After that aesthetic procedure, Nora lost her singing voice. Nora reportedly aims to get proper compensation from the inconvenience she incurred from that failed operation.
