Dawn Zulueta And Richard Gomez Defer Comeback Movie

Dawn Zulueta revealed that her highly anticipated comeback movie with ex-loveteam partner and former boyfriend Richard Gomez will not be pushing through.

The actress said it's better if the two of them will just wait for a better material that will suit their teamup. She was quick to say, however, that the material and roles offered to them were actually perfect. She just felt that there is something better for their comeback movie, and that's why she decided to wait for another offer.

They are under contract from ABS-CBN, so they will definitely make a movie together, the actress clarified.

They were last seen together in the phenomenal teleserye, "Walang Hanggan," with Julia Montes and Coco Martin. They also played the role of siblings in 2003's "Filipinas" while their last movie as a loveteam was 1993's "Saan Ka Man Naroroon."

The actress denied that the reason why she rejected the offer for the project was because it was something she and Richard already did in the past.

Dawn believes there is a better material for their comeback movie. She harbors no ill feelings towards Gretchen Barretto, who will supposedly fill the role she vacated. Like she said, the roles and the material are all good.

Aside from a comeback movie, Dawn said they will both be doing a teleserye, which will probably be shown next year. The working title is "You're My Home."

They will star in it together with Cherry Pie Picache, Shaina Magdayao and Iza Calzado. Asked if she prefers the teleserye over the movie, Dawn said she just wanted to make one that is lighter than "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin," a heavy drama teleserye she starred in with Gerald Anderson, Cristine Reyes and Rayver Cruz.

She wanted to rest for a while from doing heavy drama roles, the actress added.

Dawn and Richard are also starring in "Sugo," the Iglesia Ni Cristo movie. But the actress was quick to point out this is not the comeback movie for their loveteam.

She said "Sugo" is bigger than her and Richard since this is about the history of the INC. There are also other artists who will be participating in the said film, she added.

They are currently in the pre-production of the movie.
