Sarah Geronimo Signs Another Two-Year Contract With ABS-CBNPopstar Princess Sarah Geronimo signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN, saying it is automatic for her to ink a deal with the Kapamilya network.
"ABS-CBN, kasi I’m always welcome dito at talagang well-loved talaga, and I appreciate it. Where else will I’d rather be?"
Since the start of her showbiz career, it was the Kapamilya network that trusted her. The network was the first one to support her career and trust upon her a show, "Sarah The Pop Princess, ASAP."
It feels good that ABS-CBN wants her to stay too, Sarah said. It was a mutual decision.
For the next two years, Sarah will again be a judge for "The Voice of the Philippines Season 2." She just finished a fairly successful run as a judge during the show's last season.
The singer said she has learned a lot from the show, which has become her most challenging role to date. She also learned a lot from her co-mentors--Bamboo, Apl de Ap and Lea Salonga.
There was a time Sarah said she will not renew the contract as a mentor for the show but she realized how much she can learn from it. It was a learning experience, she added.
She is happy that the show's producers chose her to be a mentor again. Until they want her with the show, Sarah said she is willing to help other artists fulfill their dreams.
There will be other projects for her in the pipeline, but Sarah said she has no idea yet what these are. The last teleserye she did was "Idol" in 2010. Asked if she will be making one in the next two years, the Popstar Princess said there are no plans as of the moment.
She loves doing seryes, she added, but she also has to take care of her voice. When she is doing a teleserye, she always lacks sleep and her voice is always tired.
When it comes to movies, Sarah is also open to having another movie with John Lloyd Cruz, her leading man for three of the most successful movies in the Philippines--"A Very Special Love," "You Changed My Life" and "It Takes A Man And A Woman."
The last one is the year's highest grossing film (excluding the MMFF movies).
Meanwhile, Sarah was also asked about rumored boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli. Sources said they were together in Cebu during her concert there. But the Popstar Princess said Matteo was there for his family.
Asked about what she saw in Matteo, Sarah said he's a good conversationalist and intelligent. But whatever it is between her and Matteo, Sarah said she wants to keep it to herself for now.
This Christmas, Sarah will be with her family and other relatives. There are no out-of-town plans, she added. The singer said she is very thankful for all the blessings coming her way, so she couldn't ask for anything more--especially when it comes to material things.
After what happened during Typhoon Yolanda, the singer said there's no reason for people who are well and good to ask for anything more.
