Wenn Deramas Thinks Vice Ganda Should Win Best Actor PlumVice Ganda is going to be a strong contender for the best actor award in the coming Metro Manila Film Festival, director Wenn Deramas said.
Vice holds the starring role for Wenn's "Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy." He will be playing four roles--boy, girl, gay and lesbian.
Wenn said he will be heartbroken if Vice will not get the best actor award. It is difficult to play difficult roles, but it is doubly difficult to play four different characters in one film.
What was good about Vice is that he was able to successfully entertain the people and give justice to the roles. He never once lost sight of his goal, which is to entertain the masses.
Aside from wanting Vice to get that award, Wenn is also confident his film will be the top grossing movie in the 2013 MMFF. He was also the director of 2012's "Sisterakas," which combined the star powers of Vice, Ai-Ai Delas Alas and Kris Aquino.
But this film is quite different, the director said, because it is not only being starred in by an actor but a "Phenomenal Box Office Star." The title was given to Vice by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation's Box-Office Entertainment Award last 2012.
"Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy" has all the elements that will make it succesful in the box office, Wenn said. "Walang dahilan para hindi mo uulit-ulitin."
