Daniel Padilla Is Thankful For Year 2013

Teen king Daniel Padilla still cannot believe that the year 2013 brought in so much blessings in terms of his career.

To end the year, he is currently starring in "Pagpag: Siyam Na Buhay," one of the entries in the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival. In the first quarter of 2013, Daniel also starred with his loveteam partner Kathryn Bernardo for Star Cinema's "Must Be... Love."

Currently, his teleserye "Got To Believe" is receiving high ratings, according to surveys.

The actor is even dominating the music scene since his second album, DJP, has just received a triple platinum award. His fans came from all walks of life and wherever Daniel goes, his fans will surely follow him to catch a glimpse of the actor.

Also, he has his own line of clothing now that young girls are going gaga over.

Daniel said he is very thankful for all the opportunities in his life now, especially because this year has been good to him and his family.

"Talagang grabe yung taon na ito. Napakasaya, grabe lang po. Lahat ng hindi ko inakalang mangyayari, nangyari."

But like many others, Daniel's family was also affected by Typhoon Yolanda, which struck Leyte province on November 8. The actor's maternal grandmother lives there. Fortunately, his mother Karla Estrada was able to fetch his grandmother.

She now lives with the family in Manila.

This Christmas, Daniel only wishes that there will be no more sadness even after admitting he was heartbroken after seeing what happened to Leyte, a province he has known since he was little. He lived for a year in Leyte.

"Kumbaga, tama na po yung lungkot at mas unahin natin kung paano natin ito aayusin."

Daniel wants to do a show in Tacloban City, but that would depend on his management, ABS-CBN, as well as his schedule.
