Angelica Panganiban Apologizes To Jason FranciscoJason Francisco revealed that actress Angelica Panganiban already apologized to him for unintentionally hurting his feelings when the latter questioned his capacity to provide for his and wife Melai Cantiveros' child.
Melai and Angelica are close friends.
Jason said he and Angelica exchanged text messages even before the end of the year. Angelica apparently apologized to Jason for offending him and his family when she aired her concerns on a "Kris TV" episode.
Angelica and a couple of their friends in the comedy show "Banana Split" were all vocal about the concern that Melai won't be able to work anymore because she's pregnant. They're worried all her dreams for her family will suddenly be affected by the pregnancy.
Jason apparently took offense since Angelica was not invited to their December wedding in General Santos City.
The comedian, who rose to fame through "Pinoy Big Brother," said it was really just a small issue that got blown out of proportion because they're in showbiz.
Jason said he appreciated Angelica's gesture. Since she's a big-time celebrity, Jason said he couldn't believe she was able to say "sorry" to him and even extended that apology to his family. He told Angelica he will be the one to explain to his family about her comments.
"Kaya sobra talaga ako sa saludo sa kanya at lalo pang tumaas ang tingin ko at respeto ko kay Ate Angel. Kasi, sino ba naman ako, hindi ba? Compared sa katayuan namin sa showbiz?"
In the end, Jason said he hopes to be friends with Angelica as well since his wife is very close to the actress-TV host.
Asked about his wife's relationship with Angelica, Jason said Melai and the former child star are now okay. He just doesn't interfere in what they talk about.
On December 25, Angelica posted a screencap of hers and Melai's text message on Instagram. The two talked about Angelica offering herself as the godmother to Melai's and Jason's first born.
In the caption, Angelica said it's truly a Merry Christmas and they finally have peace in their hearts.
