John Lloyd Cruz Says Marriage Is Not Yet An Option For HimABS-CBN prized actor John Lloyd Cruz said he is not yet thinking about settling down with girlfriend Angelica Panganiban despite rumors saying he's planning to purchase one of Willie Revillame's mansions in Tagaytay City for his future family.
In fact, Lloydie (as he was fondly called) is not even aware that Angelica once said in an interview she wants to get married by the age of 28. The actress is 27 years old now while Lloydie already turned 30 years old last year.
"Hindi naman, wala naman siyang nasabing ganun sa akin."
When it comes to other girls, Lloydie said Angelica is not the jealous type and she understands if he needs to be paired with somebody else for work. He knows how to separate his professional life from his personal one, the actor added.
He's very thankful that Angelica understands his work. Same with him, she also doesn't want to mix the two aspects of their lives--their showbiz career and their personal life.
Asked if he's the kind of guy who runs after a girl, Lloydie said he's not afraid to admit that he has pursued someone before. "Pero naghabol [ako]. Hindi ko ikinakahiya ‘yon dahil na-in love tayo noon."
Lloydie said he loved that person so much that he became desperate and run after her.
Meanwhile, the actor talked about his new sitcom with ABS-CBN entitled "Home Sweetie Home" with Toni Gonzaga. This is a reunion project for him and Toni since the first time they were paired together was for the hit 2010's "My Amnesia Girl."
Three years after, they will now play the roles of husband and wife in ABS-CBN's newest Sunday offering. Lloydie said he's very happy that Toni trusts him enough to be her leading man, and that she is also fully committed to the role.
He admits it's hard for him to act as a husband since he's not married yet, but Toni makes it easier since they help one another.
Earlier, the actor already said he was the one who wanted to do a sitcom more than a heavy drama. The last teleserye he did was last year's "A Beautiful Affair" with Bea Alonzo.
He considers "Home Sweetie Home" one of his blessings for the year. "Masayang-masaya lang dahil ang ganda ng pasok ng taon."
He's also quite contented with the timeslot given to his sitcom. It will air at 7:30 p.m. right after "Goin' Bulilit" every Sunday.
Aside from Toni, Lloydie also worked with Sandy Andolong, Rico J. Puno, Jason Gainza, Miles Ocampo, Clarence Delgado and Mitoy Yonting for the sitcom.
