Kim Chiu Bears Down On The Press: ‘We Don’t Owe You Our Personal Lives’

Kim Chiu, in a recent interview promoting her latest film with on-screen and rumored off-screen partner Xian Lim, was really harsh with members of the press.

Asked again whether she and Lim are really a couple, the actress let off some harsh words that went as far as to offend the press people attending the event.

“Ako, sinagot narin namin to sa last presscon namin,” Chiu, who appears to have somewhat lost her cool, said.

“We don't owe you any of our personal lives siguro,” she added.

The actress then went on to say that members of the press can “think whatever you want to think as long as you’re happy when you watch us on TV.”

She said that people can think whatever they fancied when they see her and Lim fall in love on screen.

“And lahat naman tayo merong mga hindi dapat i-share o dapat i-share, and it's our choice, and I hope you guys respect that,” she added.

On the other hand, Lim seemed to be the cooler head when asked the same question.

“In time naman po malalaman naman po ng lahat kung ano 'yung status, kung anuman po 'yung gustong malaman nila,” he said.

He added that the press conference promoting the film “Bride For Rent” is not the venue to answer that question and that in time, “we won't be selfish about it, we'll be more than happy to share it with you guys.”

Because of her statements, Chiu was confronted right there in the press conference. A reporter said he was offended by what Chiu said and told the actress and Lim that their relationship appears to be all for appearances. The reporter added that Chiu and Lim are really fooling their audience.

Chiu responded by saying: “Ay, umabot na po ba tayo sa gano'n? At saka 'yung movie po 'yung pino-promote namin, hindi kaming dalawa.”
