Alden Richards Finds Marian Rivera "Down To Earth"Kapuso young actor Alden Richards couldn't believe his luck when he was paired with the network's primetime queen, Marian Rivera, for her comeback teleserye "Carmela." He said he feels lucky to be working with the actress.
This is not the first time Alden will be working together with Marian, but this is the first time the two will be paired together. In their previous projects (mostly television shows), Alden would just be an extra. He never had a chance to throw lines at Marian.
This time though, they're always together in the soap. Alden said he wants to do better in his craft this year, so that he won't waste the trust given to him by his network.
To prepare for the role, Alden made sure to remember all the things he learned in his workshops. There was also a compatibility workshop with Marian, so they will be more natural with each other.
Before, Alden admitted he couldn't even look at the actress on the eye. He doesn't even try to get close to her because he thought she was "unreachable."
"But now, since nakilala ko siyang mabuti, and I’ve learned a lot from her, hindi pala siya unreachable. Very down-to-earth pala siya, madaling pakisamahan, madaling pakibagayan."
In "Carmela," Alden will play the rich-kid son of director Laurice Guillen and Roi Vinzon. Although he is a spoiled brat, he still loves helping other people. He will meet Carmela (Marian), the daughter of Agot Isidro, who did something terrible when she was still young.
When the people in the barrio learned who Carmela's mother is, they despised her too--even the people who initially liked her.
Alden's character will be the one to help Carmela in this ordeal.
The young actor also confirmed that they will have a kissing scene. He is ready for it already since it's part of the workshop. Also, it is part of the teleserye, so he is sure Dingdong Dantes, Marian's boyfriend, will have no problem with it.
Alden said he knew Dingdong from before, and as far as he can tell, the award-winning actor will understand why he needed to kiss his girlfriend on-screen.
The young actor is also sure there will be no problems with Marian's and Dingdong's relationship because of their partnership in the teleserye.
He said when he made "One True Love" with Louise Delos Reyes, the young actress was actually in a relationship with Enzo Pineda. They didn't have any problems during that time.
"Hindi naman ako naiilang na gawin [ang kissing scenes] kasi nasa script naman yun. And strictly trabaho lang talaga, and nothing more than that."
Alden is actually more comfortable to kiss someone whose boyfriend he knows is from showbiz since they can better understand that there is nothing personal with the kiss.
Meanwhile, Alden shared that he wants to have a business or build his own house this year. He just doesn't know yet if he will put his money first on a business (something that has to do with food, transportation and apartments) or if he will build his own house.
If ever he decides to build a house, he wants it to be in Laguna still since there are major developers there already. Also, he has gotten used to the commute.
He also maintains a condominium unit in Libis, Quezon City.
