Kris Aquino Admits Friendship With Vice Ganda Was Affected By MMFFKris Aquino admitted during an interview on "Buzz Ng Bayan" that her friendship with Vice Ganda was affected because of their competition at the recently held Metro Manila Film Festival 2013.
Kris, however, considered that a phase in their friendship only. She said they are back to good terms now, and are constantly texting. Vice earlier said the MMFF competition didn't put any tension in his relationship with the Queen Of All Media.
Vice Ganda's "Girl, Boy, Bakla Tomboy" fell second to Kris and Vic Sotto's "My Little Bossings." The latter also starred Kris' son Bimby Aquino-Yap and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
The TV host shared Vice told her through text messaging that he couldn't believe "My Little Bossings" was that strong. Kris only reply was "mga bate eh."
After that, Kris told Vice that the issue should be settled already, and that they should forget all about it.
"Parang ang friendship siguro goes through phases, di ba? There will be moments na ano… It just so happens that this was a rivalry."
Kris said that the rivalry may not be about her and Bimby, but about the noontime shows. Vice is hosting "It's Showtime" while Vic is with "Eat Bulaga." Kris even guested on "Eat Bulaga" to promote "My Little Bossings."
During the interview, Kris also apologized to Ai-Ai Delas Alas for not being in the country when she mourned for her biological mother, who passed away before New Year because of Alzheimer's.
Kris was not able to be with her friend because she was in London with her two sons--Josh and Bimby. She then thanked Ai-Ai for showing her support for "My Little Bossings."
For so many years, Ai-Ai has been the star of the MMFF. Her movies, "Tanging Ina" and "Sisterakas" (with Kris and Vice) were top-grossing films.
"I just want to say thank you to her. She’s just so giving. So, parang I just wanna say thank you talaga for that generosity she showed Bimby."
Ai-Ai told her once that her support was for Kris and Vic. Kris said it's only right for her to let everybody know how generous the Comedy Concert Queen is.
"Kasi, naramdaman ko sa kanya talaga yung sincere na wish, na maging successful ito, at yung joy na naramdaman niya when it did happen."
