Marian Rivera Will Be Paired With John Lloyd Cruz And Derek RamsayMarian Rivera confirmed that she will be doing two movies with Regal Films. She even revealed that she will be paired with actors from TV5 and ABS-CBN.
Asked if the leading men are Derek Ramsay and John Lloyd Cruz, Marian refused to answer. She may not be allowed to reveal yet who the actors are. Also, she added that as long as the camera is not yet rolling, then there is a possibility that the movies may not push through.
Marian said she's okay to be paired with anyone. She's actually open to work with other actors. "Saka wala namang masama na mag-try nang mag-try."
"Trial and error na lang yun pagdating sa pelikula, kaya subok lang nang subok."
The Kapuso primetime actress said she wants to try all kinds of partnerships as long as they have good plotlines.
Meanwhile, Marian revealed that her Adopt-a-Banca projects is doing well. In fact, she will be meeting with some sponsors, so she will know how many bancas they can give away.
She will start distributing them next month (February). It's an ongoing project, Marian said.
She is happy that a lot of people want to donate to her project. "So, iyon, sana yung target ko, makuha ko na yung ilang pamilya na gusto kong ma-target, sana magawa ko siya."
She is targeting 100 bancas for the project. One banca is worth P30,000.
When it comes to her teleserye, "Carmela," Marian revealed she was the one who chose that particular storyline. This is the first time GMA allowed her to pick a story for her primetime show.
There were four stories presented to her, but it was "Carmela" who made an impression on her.
She was also the one who chose her leading man, young actor Alden Richards. Marian said she's not biased, but she just finds Alden dedicated to his craft--an important factor to her.
As for whether or not they have chemistry, only the viewers can judge that. But based on the trailers of "Carmela," Marian said they have been receiving a lot of positive feedback.
In the teleserye, Alden's character is really younger than Marian. Right now, Marian is 29 years old while Alden is 22 years old.
Asked if she can fall in love with a younger man, Marian said there's no age when it comes to love. The Kapuso actress believes there are young people who are already matured for their age, while there are older people who are still childish.
One of the things she likes most about Alden is he's very dedicated to his job. When one loves his job, Marian believes everything will follow. "Dun kami parehas. Ang trabaho sa kanya ay trabaho, at ganun din ako."
Marian admitted there was a time they both felt awkward toward each other. But the actress said that may be better instead of feeling too comfortable with each other.
In a separate interview with Alden, he already said he is ready to have love scenes with Marian. It's all business to him.
Marian said she appreciates this about Alden. "At yun ang maganda. Kapag mahal mo ang trabaho mo, ibig sabihin, talagang pinapahalagan mo ang mga blessings na dumarating sa iyo."
The actress, however, wanted to point out that "Carmela" is not exactly a love story. There's more to it than her loveteam with Alden. It's a heavy drama that tackles the separation of a mother and child. It also discusses one man's relationship with his family.
Marian shared she's very excited to start taping for the show because the staff and crew of the teleserye are all very easy to work with. She is able to form new friendships as well.
She is also very thankful that her boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes, is very supportive of her. When she was on her way to the press conference, Dingdong even texted her and told her that he is supporting her project.
Marian said she's very lucky to have someone like her boyfriend. He even tells her that she has a chemistry with Alden.
When the media said she looks more beautiful than ever, Marian said it's because she is in love. "Kanino pa? Dyusko naman! Siyempre nag-iisa lang yun sa buhay ko."
She denied they got married during their vacation in Laos.
