Deniece Cornejo Details What Happened On January 22 With Vhong NavarroCommercial model Deniece Cornejo detailed to GMA-7's "24 Oras" what supposedly happened the night of January 22 when "It's Showtime" host Vhong Navarro visited her in her condo unit.
She said that they met again after two years on January 17. She decided to let Vhong visit her since he has been cajoling her to come and see him. Vhong's version, however, said she was the one who invited him.
That night, nothing happened between the two of them. Vhong said they only made out.
On January 22, Vhong told Deniece that he will visit her and bring some food. Deniece agreed because her friends, Cedric and Bernice Lee, will also be arriving in a few hours.
She thought of Vhong as an older brother, the model said, and nothing more than that. However, Vhong started touching Deniece's hair and that's why she was initially alarmed.
When she told Vhong that she doesn't like what he was doing, the TV host apparently forced her to lie down and removed his pants. The attempt was halted because her friends already arrived, Deniece said.
She maintained that she wasn't in the condo unit anymore when her friends mauled and attacked Vhong. It was not clear where she was during that time.
They met each other again at the police station, where she was filing a blotter report against Vhong already. She also revealed that there were sex pills inside Vhong's pockets when the police body checked him.
Although the alleged attempt happened, Deniece said she doesn't want the mess to get bigger. Since she also has a reputation to protect, the model said she forgave Vhong and have him another chance.
"Ayoko na rin malagay pa sa ganitong ano, kumalat, or ganito. So, pinatawad ko po siya. Binigyan ko siya ng pagkakataon na magbago po."
Because Vhong aired his side on the "Buzz Ng Bayan" last Sunday, Deniece also decided to file a case against the comedian-TV host to clear her name. She apparently learned from her friends that Vhong has a history of abusing women.
She allegedly received texts from other women who told her that they were also molested by the TV host.
Deniece answered Vhong's allegations that he was set up, so that she and her group can extort money from him. Deniece denied these accusations.
"At saka kung mase-set up po namin yun, e alam ko pong napakaimpluwensiya niyang tao. Kakalat at kakalat din ‘yan."
"Sino bang sinira namin? Pangalan namin. Reputasyon namin."
She also said Vhong repeatedly apologized to her while they were in the police station. Deniece also questioned Vhong's move of signing the blotter report and not giving a counter statement to what she said in the blotter.
