Jinggoy Believes In Vhong’s Innocence, Will Keep Tabs On The CaseSenator Jinggoy Estrada reveals that he believes his “best friend” Vhong Navarro did not commit the crimes being alleged by Deniece Milinette Cornejo and Cedric Lee.
In an interview on Monday, the actor-turned-politician said that he visited Navarro in the hospital where he is currently recuperating on the night of January 26.
After talking to Navarro, Estrada said that he believes the actor.
“Walang attempted rape. Walang nangyari,” Estrada said.
According to Estrada, Navarro told him fundamentally a matching story to what the actor told in the now infamous interview he gave to Boy Abunda aired on Sunday by ABS-CBN’s “Buzz ng Bayan”. Navarro and Abunda are both Kapamilya talents.
In his story, Navarro said that he was invited by Cornejo to her condominium unit at the Bonifacio Global City where he was eventually ganged up on by men who his camp said bound, badly beat, threatened and extorted money from him.
This is contrary to the claims made by Cornejo and Lee that Lee and his friends caught the actor in the act of forcing Cornejo to have sex with him and that they only performed a citizen’s arrest.
Estrada said Navarro should have justice for what was done to him because the actor was “talagang bugbog sarado.”
The senator said that he knows Navarro to be a good man based on his being friends with the actor for quite some time now.
“Actually, ang tawagan namin 'best friend,'” Estrada said, adding that Navarro does not do drug or even smoke.
Estrada said that he will be keeping in touch with the National Bureau of Investigation to keep tabs on how the case progresses.
