Drew Arellano And Iya Villania Tie The KnotLongtime couple Drew Arrelano and Iya Villania finally tied the knot and sealed their 10-year relationship with a secret wedding at an undisclosed Tagaytay location on January 31, Chinese New Year.
Iya, 27, and Drew, 34, were flanked by their family and friends as they exchanged vows in a ceremony that started at 3:30 p.m.
"It's Showtime" host Kim Atienza was one of the principal sponsors of the wedding. On his way to Tagaytay, he tweeted that he will beat the road traffic and arrive on time for the wedding even if he has to run towards it.
Singer Paolo Valenciano, the oldest son of veteran performer Gary Valenciano and a close friend of the couple, posted some pictures of the event on his Instagram account.
The first photo was of a sign pointing to the wedding's location. It was a lifesize cardboard of Drew carrying Iya with the TV host-actress pointing towards the entrance to the wedding.
In another Instagram post, Drew was seen inspecting the set-up of the wedding moments before the ceremony took place.
Later, Paolo posted a photo of Iya in a white wedding gown walking down the aisle.
The couple celebrated their ninth year anniversary in May last year, and have been vocal about wanting to settle down already. But Iya said Drew was waiting for her to be ready to have a family of her own.
She took pride that her boyfriend, who is seven years older than her, has been very patient with her.
"We are really just a private couple and I would like to think that it's something that has helped us in becoming strong so far," Iya said.
Iya and Drew are one of the couples who were able to cross the network wars--Iya is from ABS-CBN while Drew is from GMA-7.
