Vina Morales Asks Public To Spare Her And Daughter Ceana From Cedric Lee IssueSinger-actress Vina Morales asked the public to not drag her name and her daughter's Ceana to the controversy involving "It's Showtime" host Vhong Navarro and Cedric Lee, the father of her daughter.
According to a law firm that represents her, the accusations aired on "TV Patrol" that Vina was physically abused by Cedric was "purely fictional, conjectural and speculative." In the report, it said that Cedric had police escort from 2007 to 2012, but it stopped when Vina filed a complaint against the Chinese businessman for allegedly hurting her.
"We appeal to everyone and sundry, to spare our client, especially the young and innocent Ceana from negative, undue and unjust publicity both don’t deserve."
The firm said that Vina's name has been unnecessarily mentioned in the issue surrounding Vhong and Cedric. As for the matter of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the firm said it's up to its officers to address the matter.
The matter between Cedric and Vhong is beyond Vina, the firm said, further urging the public to give the singer-actress and her daughter some peace of mind.
Meanwhile, the Beverly Hills Cosmetic Center and Skin Institute, Inc. also cleared its name since it has been dragged into the controversy as well. It added that Cedric's investments in the company have been divested since 2011.
Cedric's name was one of those who cropped up during the issue surrounding former models and businessman David Bunevacz and his wife, Jessica Rodriguez.
Cedric and David are former business partners in the said wellness clinic. Their relationship turned sour because of allegations of "misallocation of funds."
David and Jessica have since left the country because of death threats being received from Cedric's camp. David said he also received a lot of abuses from Cedric and Tyrone Ong, another Chinese businessman who's already jailed because of a graft case.
Cedric has been filed with several cases by Vhong, including serious illegal detention, which is a non-bailable offense. Cedric apparently illegally detained Vhong in model Deniece Cornejo's condo unit in Taguig City last January 22.
Vhong said he was a victim of extortion and blackmail while Cedric and Deniece claimed the TV host-actor tried to rape the 22-year-old student and model.
