Kim Chiu Does Not Understand Why KimXi Loveteam Takes The BackseatKim Chiu admitted she is also saddened by the fact that she will have to do a teleserye without her loveteam partner Xian Lim. The fans of the KimXi loveteam have been waiting for the next project after their successful "Bride For Rent" movie, but they were disappointed by ABS-CBN's decision to pair Kim with teleserye king Coco Martin.
Kim said she does not understand too why they have to part ways for a while, but that's a management decision and they cannot do anything about it. They will have to follow because the management knows what's good for the both of them.
"Pero siyempre ito yung binigay sa amin and hindi naman kami makakapili kung ano talaga."
But Kim said their fans understand the situation, adding that they are actually looking forward to the projects that will be given to Kim and Xian.
She is confident Xian can work on a solo project since he has other talents of his own. He has a different rumor, she added. Also, their fans keep on telling them that they will support their individual projects.
"Nandiyan lang sila kahit hiwalay yung project namin and masaya kami na naririnig namin yun."
The actress, however, said the fans can anticipate their new teleserye on the third quarter of this year. That's not such a long wait, she added.
Kim will be starring in the teleserye "Ikaw Lamang" with Coco, Julia Montes and Jake Cuenca. It is a period drama--the first time ABS-CBN will be tackling the genre.
Of course, the actress is quite nervous to work with such top-caliber actors and actresses. Joining them in the teleserye are Angel Aquino, Meryll Soriano, Ronaldo Valdez, Tirso Cruz III and Cherie Gil.
This isn't the first time Kim and Coco will be working together, but it will be the first time for them to be in a romantic drama series together.
Meanwhile, asked about her plans for Valentine's Day, Kim said she may be working. As for Xian, he's quite affected by the issues hounding him today regarding his conduct in a "Banana Nite" episode.
During the said episode, Xian performed on stage for the Chinese New Year celebration. When a Kim-Kalokalike contestant appeared on stage, he joked that it was actually GMA-7 teen star Bea Binene.
Netizens found Xian's behavior and reaction rude, which prompted the actor to apologize on Twitter. Bea shrugged off the rumor, but her boyfriend Jake Vargas said Xian should be more respectful of women.
But is Kim finally ready to reveal the real score between her and Xian? She said there's nothing to reveal, and asked the media to just let them enjoy whatever it is that they have now.
