Vhong Navarro – Deniece Cornejo Texts RetrievedThe deleted messages between Vhong Navarro and Deniece Cornejo have been retrieved, Navarro’s camp has revealed.
According to the lawyer of the actor, the National Bureau of Investigation has recovered the text messages which, as earlier said by the actor’s camp, reportedly support their version of the story that the whole mess Navarro is in is a big ploy to extort money from him.
Atty. Alma Mallonga said that they are “so happy with the work that is being done by the NBI,” a report from ABS-CBN News said.
She said that though she is not familiar with the “technique” used by the government agency to recover the text messages, it is in her understanding that the messages “were recovered”.
The lawyer detailed that their camp is now looking for other evidence to verify that the messages are in fact genuine. She mentioned getting “confirmatory records” from telecoms companies in the country that will show that these messages were sent and received in a particular day.
What she may be referring to are transaction records kept by telecoms companies that shows text messages sent and received by subscribers. Though telecoms companies in the country do not keep archives of the content of messages, they have records that show that messages have been sent and received by subscribers.
Cornejo and company have accused Navarro that the actor raped the model and was just accosted by Cedric Lee and his companions inside the condominium unit Cornejo was staying in at the Bonifacio Global City.
The actor has said, however, that he was beaten, threatened and extorted money from and that the rape accusation is part of the plan to get him to pay Cornejo, Lee and others the money they were asking for.
