Dennis Trillo Signs Three-Year Contract With GMA-7It was very easy for Dennis Trillo to renew his contract with GMA-7 because he was always well taken care of by the Kapuso network. He recently signed a three-year exclusive contract with the network.
Dennis said he chose GMA-7 despite having offers from other networks. He didn't identify what these networks were. He valued more the kind of projects he is getting in GMA-7.
Every time his contract ends, Dennis assesses his career and plans the next steps that should be taken. Although he considered transferring to another network, in the end, GMA-7 was the better choice for him.
"Kilala ko na ang mga tao rito, mula sa pinakamaliit hanggang sa pinakamalaki. Dito ako sobrang kumportable at sila yung nagbigay sa akin ng mga projects na memorable kaya nandito ako ngayon."
Dennis said he cannot forget how the Kapuso network trusted him with projects. He has been with the network for 11 years.
For now, the actor said he does not know yet what projects are awaiting him, but he did say that he's excited to star in new shows.
"Excited na akong makapagtrabaho ulit. Wala na akong mahihiling pa."
Dennis has heard about the rumor that there will be a sequel to his successful teleserye, "My Husband's Lover,” with Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez. He is hopeful that the project will push through.
He promised that if there will ever be a second season for "My Husband's Lover," they will give it the same dedication they gave to Book 1. He also promised to be consistent in terms of storytelling.
Dennis admitted he feels pressured by the success of "My Husband's Lover," and that will be his benchmark for success.
Because of that, they are all working to be better in terms of the storylines and the plots of their teleseryes. "At least, alam namin na ito yung benchmark. Kailangang huwag bababa ang quality ng trabaho."
If Dennis will be the one to choose, he wants to play a role in a romantic-comedy since his last character was quite heavy in terms of emotions.
Aside from a romantic-comedy, Dennis is also open to doing an action film. As long as it's far from his character in "My Husband's Lover," then that's better for him.
On the other hand, Dennis said he's not after the title of "Kapuso Primetime King." Dingdong Dantes is apparently GMA-7's primetime king.
Dennis said these titles are not important to him. "Para sa akin, label lang ‘yon." For him, the important thing is that he has good projects and he's doing well in terms of his craft.
