Anne Curtis Is Not Affected By Issues AnymoreAfter the slapping incident last November 2013, Anne Curtis said she's immune already from all the criticisms being thrown at her. Anne seemed to say that the issue was one of the worst she went through in her showbiz career.
There are many negative reactions to ABS-CBN's decision to choose Anne for its remake of Mars Ravelo's "Dyesebel." Even KC Concepcion's name was dragged into the issue, with some saying the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta was disappointed with the decision.
Anne said she doesn't know anything about KC's supposed reaction, and that she was equally surprised she was chosen by the network. She came from Canada at that time, and the network executives called her for a meeting. That's when she learned she will be playing the lovelorn mermaid.
Kim Chiu, Jessy Mendiola and Julia Montes were also some of the actresses supposedly being considered for the role.
There are also those who are saying that Anne is too old for the role of "Dyesebel." She's 29 years old. The actress said it's alright for her age to be criticized. She even joked that she doesn't act like her age anyway.
Asked what her reaction would be if she's compared to Marian Rivera, who did a remake of "Dyesebel" for GMA-7 in 2008, the actress said she won't be affected by those issues anymore.
"That’s nothing compared to what I’ve been through. I don’t think anything could really hurt me anymore, parang di ka na naa-affect."
She was referring to the slapping incident last November, where she was apparently too drunk that she disrespected a group of people that included John Lloyd Cruz and Jake Cuenca.
Anne spent her birthday on February 17. What are her wishes for her birthday? She wants to have a good year and a successful run for "Dyesebel."
Those who were born in February are a little weird, according to sayings. Anne agreed. "Everything. I’m just a weirdo. But I like my weirdness."
Meanwhile, Anne said she's happy for her bestfriend, Luis Manzano, who admitted recently that he got back together with Angel Locsin.
Anne said Angel is her "favorite girl" for Luis. The two said they can get married in a year or two.
How about Anne? Is she ready to tie the knot with boyfriend Erwan Heussaff? The two will vacation in Burma this coming Holy Week. What if Erwan proposes to her?
Anne said it's unlikely that Erwan is thinking about marriage since he's two years younger than her. But if it happens, it happens. Anne doesn't want to give herself a deadline when it comes to getting married.
She said they are both focused on their respective careers for now, so marriage is simply out of the question at least for the time being.
When pushed, Anne stated she's looking at a timeline of three or four years when it comes to settling down.
Are they talking about it already? "Not so much."
