"Roxanne" Files Rape Case Against Vhong NavarroA certain "Roxanne" has filed a rape case against embattled TV host-actor Vhong Navarro, who is also being implicated in another rape case against model Deniece Cornejo, 22.
Although much of the evidence, especially the CCTV footages of the condo unit, backed up Vhong's statements that he was set up and blackmailed, this latest case may put a hamper to the TV host-actor's reputation.
"Roxanne" was apparently raped by Vhong in 2010, but only came out now because she was inspired by Deniece's testimony against the TV host-actor. Her lawyer denied knowledge of any relations between "Roxanne" and Cedric Lee, the Chinese businessman who was the alleged mastermind of the mauling of Vhong at the Forbeswood Heights condo unit of Deniece last January 22.
Cedric earlier threatened that there are other women who will come out and will file cases against the TV host-actor. He said this will back up their stories that Vhong really tried to rape Deniece that night.
Vhong's lawyer, Atty. Alma Mallonga, shrugged off this latest development, and said they were expecting it already because of Cedric's threats. She questioned how this "Roxanne" can be inspired by what happened to Deniece when evidence clearly showed no rape happened.
Atty. Alma said this only made Vhong more determined to see the cases he filed against Cedric, Deniece and their group through. There are six cases filed against the group--one of which is the serious illegal detention, a non-bailable offense.
As of now, Vhong is being kept safe in an unknown location, and has not come back to his hosting duties on "It's Showtime," ABS-CBN's hit noontime show.
