Bela Padilla Is Too Young To Settle DownKapuso actress Bela Padilla laughed off rumors that she's already ready to settle down with boyfriend Neil Arce. She is only 22 years old, the actress said, adding that Neil can propose when she's 29 years old already.
The two have been together for more than a year. Last Valentine's Day, Bela shared that they had a simple dinner in a restaurant then immediately went home.
Neil also gave her a gift. Bela said she rarely uses the bags Neil gives her, so her boyfriend decided to shop clothes for her instead. She added that even the signature bags she buys for herself rarely gets used.
Asked about the "Olivia, will you marry me?" billboards along EDSA, Bela said she was actually very impressed with the campaign strategy of a real-estate company. Many thought it was an actual proposal by a guy to his girl.
If ever Neil proposes, does she want something like that as well? Bela said anything goes for her, but she reiterated that she is not ready to settle down because she wants to accomplish many things first.
Maybe when she's 30 years old, then that will be the right time for Neil to propose.
Since Neil is a successful businessman, does Bela want to follow his footsteps? The actress said she's actually asking her mother how to best invest her money. Up to now, Bela said it is her mother who handles her finances.
"Sa ganitong age ko, kung ano ang appropriate sa akin. Marami na rin kaming tinitingnan at pinag-aaralan ng mommy ko na puwedeng simulang business."
She sometimes asks advice from Neil about the best business to establish, but she maintained that her boyfriend never interfered into her finances of her decisions in showbiz.
Meanwhile, Bela just joined "Sunday All Stars" as a member of its "Team Instagang." She's quite excited to be part of the team, and to rehearse every week.
Although it can be quite taxing, Bela looks at it as a challenge to her artistry. She has contributed a lot of ideas during their meetings, but she's not ready yet to be a team leader.
Eventually though, Bela must lead her teammates, who she said she gets along pretty well.
Bela has been very busy these past months after the end of her series, "Genesis," on GMA-7. She was part of her uncle, Robin Padilla's, "10,000 Hours" and "Sa Ngalan Ng Ama, Ina, At Mga Anak."
She also made a TV show in Singapore entitled "Point of Entry," which was like the US' "CSI."
The show is currently on its eight episode. Bela revealed she receives tweets from Singaporeans and Filipinos who are able to watch the show.
In the said series, she plays the role of Annalyn Ocampo, a Filipina who wanted to study in Singapore. She will then meet the leading man here in the Philippines. Annalyn will help this man go back to Singapore because he was set up.
Bela said it was an action-drama series with a love story on the side.
