Cedric Lee Says Deniece Cornejo Is ‘Delicious Enough To Be Raped’Since his initial interviews a day after the Vhong Navarro mauling controversy burst, Cedric Lee has remained elusive and quiet. It was noticeable how he has left all the talking to his lawyers and to friend Deniece Cornejo, who is claiming that she was raped by the comedian-TV host.
But on Friday (February 21), Cedric broke his silence by releasing an official statement to the media. The controversial businessman tried to explain his side about the leaked video that caught him trying to kiss Deniece inside an elevator.
As it turned out, the video was recorded by CCTV on the same day that the mauling incident happened (or immediately after they went to the police precinct to ‘turn over’ Vhong to the authorities). The video showed Deniece, Cedric, his sister Berniece, and another guy friend getting into the elevator of the condominium building, where Deniece was supposedly raped.
Teasing a friend
In that CCTV footage, Cedric went closer to Deniece and tried to kiss her. Deniece tried to dodge her friend’s kisses twice. But it seemed like Cedric was insistent. The video is now being used by Vhong’s camp as another proof that there is conspiracy going on between Cedric and Deniece, who is speculated to be in a romantic relationship despite their persistent denials.
For his part, Cedric said that the kiss did not mean anything, echoing what Deniece said days ago to explain that CCTV footage. The businessman said he was kissing his friend in jest while telling her that she was ‘delicious enough to be raped.’
‘Ang sarap mong rape-in’
In his own words, Cedric explained, “Wala talaga, kaibigan ko lang yun…parang nakipag-harutan lang ako sa kanya. Parang binibiro ko siya na ‘ang sarap mo kasing rape-in.’”
Cedric and Deniece went out that day to face the charges filed against them at the Department of Justice office. That was in connection to the second preliminary investigation being conducted for the criminal complaint filed by Vhong.
Vhong reportedly refused to personally go there because he still could not take the guts to face the two and their group. He was represented by his lawyer, Alma Mallonga.
