Jaypee Calma Submits Counter-Affidavit In DOJ Appearance Over Vhong Navarro CaseOne of the men named in Vhong Navarro’s complaint pending at the Department of Justice has appeared before the agency to submit his counter affidavit.
Jaypee Calma denied in his counter-affidavit to the DOJ the charges of serious illegal detention, serious physical injury, grave threats, grave coercion, illegal arrest and blackmail which were levied against him by Navarro.
Though Calma did not give out an interview and immediately left the DOJ after his appearance,
However, Calma did say in the document he submitted that he did not directly beat Navarro. What happened, he said, is that when he arrived at the condominium unit, he saw the group beating up a man.
He said he did not initially recognize that the man was Navarro.
Calma’s counter-affidavit comes after the February 21 hearing at the DOJ where Deniece Cornejo, Cedric Lee and Zimmer Rance all also denied the charges brought against them.
Cornejo went on to say in her appearance before the DOJ that Navarro raped her twice: once in January 17 and on January 22 when Navarro was beaten up.
The second instance of the alleged rape incidents was when Lee and his friends reportedly confronted Navarro, beat him and brought him to a police station.
However, Navarro claims that this is just a ploy to extort money from him. According to the actor and Kapamilya host, he was beaten, bound, threatened and asked to give up to 2 million.
